Creating Memories of Joy that Last a Lifetime…

Why Dancing in the End of Year Recital is Important

The end of year dance recital can be a very exciting time in a young girl’s life. Some girls may be a bit nervous about it, others may want to slack off, and even the ones who do want to do it may not know or understand the importance of participating in it.
1) Sense of Closure
The first reason why dancing the end of year recital is so important is for the sense of closure it brings to the year. As your child looks back over the year, how do they want to end this year off? All their hardships and accomplishments and things they have worked toward this year can be celebrated in one final show.
2) Sense of Achievement
Your child will feel accomplished if they stick to their goals and participate in the end of year recital. How disappointed they would feel if they quit or didn’t perform in it. But if they got to the end of the year and were able to say, “Yes, I did it,” they will be more confident in themselves and the goals they set in the future.
3) Confidence for the Future
In the future, no matter what your child decides to do with their lives, being able to say that they danced in a recital will give them the confidence they need to stand in front of a crowd later in life. In high school or college when they do presentations, in plays and theater; your child will not be afraid to stand in the spotlight and more importantly, won’t let fear hold them back from getting involved.
4) Fond Memories Later
The last reason for your child to dance in the end of year recital is for the fond memories they’ll make now and can look back on later. Whether they have a lot of close memories or not, you’ll want your child to look back at their younger years and be able to say that they did things with their lives. It can make children depressed as adults to look back and feel that they haven’t done or accomplished anything worthwhile. Give your child the chance to have lots of good memories to look back on.
